A small group of men that get together and share great food and conversation are open to inviting other men to participate. Locations and dates vary according to who's turn it is to cook. Basically, what takes place besides cooking and eating is the heart that goes into the food preparation. This may reflect the connection that a man can feel toward the group (dinner guests). We as a small group of 5-7 men, have often discussed the importance of being present with conscious intent as to ritual work. We have integrated food preparation as part of this process in being present, thus taking the opportunity for being proactive as co-creator with the creative spirit. To be mindful in food preparation in order to benefit from the experiential aspect of being given the chance to give with soul. We have chosen not to use a format per se because over the last 7 years this is what we did so much. Consequently, we have (for the time being) given ourselves a break from using any format. Although, this is not to say that reference to one has not been internalized, or that with a new man present a format would not be in order. The group here seems to have developed to the point where
the talking and sharing can now manifest more naturally as a result of
working together. Further, blessings and prayer are also included in
the supper- time, as well as whatever antics and laughter we are fortunate
to digest. Now meeting in Boca Raton and
Pompano beach.. |
