American
Boychoir School
The American Boychoir School is an example of institutional
abuse at a boy's boarding school in Princeton, New Jersey. The New York
Times and ABCs Nightline described decades of alleged abuse by staff and
teachers. Time Magazine wrote that some of the most heartbreaking
allegations of sexual abuse are coming from former students at the American
Boychoir.
www.americanboyschoir.com is a site designed in cooperation with several
alumni of the school who were victims of sexual abuse.

Attorneys for the Rights of the Child
An international network of attorneys now addresses the
multi-faceted issue of male genital mutilation, euphemistically termed circumcision.
Attorneys for the Rights of the Child (ARC) is a non-profit organization founded to secure
equal protection for, and broaden judicial and public recognition of, children's inherent
legal and human rights to physical integrity and self-determination, regardless of gender.
The medical profession, in particular, has perpetuated the tragic disfigurement of baby
boys' genitals and will be challenged by an organization of legal professionals whom they
cannot afford to ignore.

Family Violence Laboratory
Since 1975, the Family Research Laboratory
(FRL) has devoted itself primarily to
understanding family violence and the impact of violence in families. As public and professional interest in family violence has grown, so has the
need for more reliable knowledge. The FRL has tried to fill that need in a
variety of ways: through comprehensive literature reviews, new theories, and
methodologically sound studies.

THE INVISIBLE
BOY: Revisioning The Victimization
of Male Children & Teens
The subtitle of this website, "Revisioning
the Victimization of Male Children and Teens", extends an invitation to the public
and professionals alike, to "look again" and "re-vise" their knowledge
and understanding with respect to violence and abuse, and to make it inclusive of a male
perspective. On the face of the evidence presented in the pages of this report, the
invitation is compelling.

Return: Breaking the Cycle of Crime
Project Return is now a
cost-effective correctional option program that reduces reliance on
incarceration and provides treatment and services to assist former offenders
in the pursuit of lawful and productive conduct. Initial funding was
coordinated through the metropolitan business community and Tulane
University. With a dedicated program staff (most of whom are former
offenders), Project Return provides an integrated delivery network based on
the Community Building model of M. Scott Peck, MD, author of The Road Less
Traveled. In the group process of Community Building, participants create a
safe environment for healing the emotional wounds from neglect, abuse,
molestation, and the violence of their youth.

RADAR—Respecting Accuracy in
Domestic Abuse Reporting
RADAR is a network of concerned men and women around the country who
are working to assure that the media present the hidden side of
domestic violence.
Twenty years ago, women who had been assaulted by their intimate
partners often found that no one would listen to their story. They
felt ashamed and alone. Now, another group in our society has a
story that no one seems to want to hear: abused men.

Sexual
Abuse of Males: Prevalence, Lasting Effects, and Resources
To help those looking for Web resources on the sexual abuse of boys and the lasting
effects of childhood sexual abuse in the lives of men. To inform men who were
sexually abused in childhood and want to know what professional researchers and therapists
have learned, but who might not otherwise seek information in scholarly journals and
books. To help people understand how researchers come up with statistics on child
sexual abuse, because the popular media foster confusion and most people don't read
scholarly journals where researchers publish their work.
